Premium Member and Trustee Event Ambassador Jean Luc-Sibiude THE FRANCO-AMERICAN ALLIANCE IRAQ AND BEYOND |
The American-French Alliance has its roots back to the American War of Independence against the British. It is one the U.S.’s oldest continuing alliances that has put both nations on the same side during our battle for independence from Britain, as well as, the War of 1812 in which the British sought to recapture their lost colonies. The Alliance also transcends two world wars including the present global war against terrorism. Nevertheless, the Alliance has not been without some friction and disagreement over policy, but our common values and strategic interests still predominate.
Ambassador Sibiude’s foreign service includes:
Consul General of France for the western states since November of 2001. Please come join us for a special reception and dinner with Ambassador Sibiude.
