Partner” Monday, February 23, 2004 |

Leading the European nations who support the U.S. and Britain in Iraq, Spain has troops on the ground, provides aid and training for the new Iraqi military and backs plans to return sovereignty to the new Iraq this summer. Its Premier, Jose Maria Anzar, has presided over economic reforms that make the Iberian Peninsula with its vast experience of Latin America, a rapidly expanding market for California trade and investment.
Hear and question Ambassador Argyros who has represented the U.S. in Madrid during three years of tension between the U.S. and the European Union over trade, the Middle East and U.S. pre-emptive policies against Al Qaeda.
George Argyros is a graduate of Chapman University whose Board of Trustees he chaired. He and Julia, his wife of 40 years, have three children and six grandchildren. Please join us in welcoming GEORGE ARGYROS who will be introduced by WACA’s national patron, SIR ELDON GRIFFITHS. |
