Sir Alan Collins has been Consul-General, New York and Director-General, Trade & Investment USA since January 2007. He is responsible for British political and wider relations in one of the most important cities in the world, and for the eight teams across the US whose job is to promote British business. He sits on the Board of UK Trade & Investment and is in charge of work on the London 2012 Olympics in both the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and UK Trade & Investment. He is also responsible in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office for the international support for England’s bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
From 2003-2006, Alan was British High Commissioner to Singapore where he was heavily involved with the strategy for London’s winning bid for the 2012 Olympics and Her Majesty the Queen’s State Visit.He was seconded to Shell in 2002 as Vice President for International Relations responsible for the company’s global relationships with governments. Prior to that Alan was the British Ambassador in the Philippines.
Kevin Howard Co-Founder and CEO of Internet Connectivity Group (I.C.G.), Howard acts as the primary responsible for the strategic direction of the company. I.C.G. is a hardware and software developer and service solutions provider based on wireless broadband infrastructure (3G&4G cellular data and 802.11n+ WiFi) initially specializing in the Digital Signage vertical. Specifically focused on building interactive solutions that incorporate Point of Purchase with handheld and web applications to complete the marketing cycle. Prior to founding I.C.G., Howard worked in finance and technology related fields for nearly 15 years. He specialized in asset management, venture capital and corporate guidance and has worked at Wells Fargo’s Private Client Group, UBS Financial and Smith Barney. Beyond his extensive Finance background, Howard has owned and operated businesses in a wide spectrum of sectors. These include, but are not limited to, a professional motocross team and a bio-fuel firm. Howard has also held board positions with numerous privately held corporations.
